🚨 Project Spotlight: Dual-use Fire & Potable Water Tanks Compliance Upgrade

We were recently approached by this client after their combined fire suppression and potable water tanks were audited and found to be non-compliant with AS4020 🚱

Our task? Bring the existing infrastructure up to code with a smart, efficient retrofit — and that’s exactly what we did.

✅ To meet AS4020 (products for use in contact with drinking water), we upgraded the tanks with:
• Potable grade liners
• Newly fabricated Rilsan coated AS4020 compliant fittings
• Stainless steel fasteners
• Potable grade gaskets

✅ As the tanks are also used for fire suppression, they required upgrades to comply with AS2304 also, this included:
• Installation of a side access manway
• Capacity and level indicator signage

The result? A fully compliant, dual-purpose tank system that stores and delivers drinking water free of contamination, meets all relevant Australian Standards and supports safety and functionality on site.
