We knew it was tough. We wanted to know how tough. 💪
So, we sent a Fluke digital multimeter to the stratosphere and exposed it to conditions far beyond normal testing limits. 🌏⬆️
The Ultimate Test in numbers:
➡️ Peak altitude: approximately 32,000 metres
➡️ Temperature: approximately −60°C
➡️ Air pressure: approximately 0.87 kPa, compared with 101.3 kPa at sea level
➡️ Air density: approximately 0.0135 kg/m³, or just 1.1% of sea level density
Altitude reached: nearly three times the specified storage altitude and around 16 times the altitude covered by normal IEC test equipment conditions
📋 But surviving the journey was only part of the test. Once the meter returned to Earth, we tested it to find out whether it was still safe, accurate and dependable.
🏅 It passed against specification.

Because tough is not enough. Professionals need tools they can rely on, wherever the job takes them. 👷🏻
