Just pulled these off the line after Thermal Zinc Diffusion - and it's always satisfying to see the finished coat on a batch like this.

The process bonds a zinc-iron layer right into the surface of the metal, so these rail fastenings can handle years of vibration, load, and weather without breaking down.

At Armorgalv, the Thermal Zinc Diffusion (TZD) process is engineered to create a metallurgically bonded zinc-iron alloy layer through controlled thermal diffusion.

During the TZD process, steel components are exposed to zinc vapour within a sealed, temperature-controlled environment. As temperature and exposure time are carefully managed, zinc atoms diffuse into the steel surface, forming a dense and uniform alloy layer across the entire component.

Unlike conventional surface-applied coatings, TZD produces a diffusion layer that becomes an integral part of the substrate itself.

A few weeks ago we hosted a Cancer Council Australia !

Cancer is something that we are all affected by, whether directly or indirectly, it was nice to put down the tools for a morning tea of freshly cooked bacon and egg rolls and show our support for a well deserving charity.
