As proud sponsors of HunterWiSE, we welcomed Year 8 girls from Dungog High School last week to explore what a future in STEMM could look like.
Through hands-on activities, problem solving and a fair bit of laughter, the girls stepped into an engineering mindset, developing ideas, building prototypes and adapting when things didn't quite go to plan.
They then toured our workshops to see how those skills translate, meeting the teams who bring ideas to life, from engineers to electricians, fabricators and mechanical trades. Our standalone power systems even pitched in as shelter when the rain came through. 🌧️
Because visibility matters. When young women can see these careers and meet the people doing them, possibility starts to feel real.
Through our Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Strategy, we're growing the pipeline of women in STEMM, and that work starts well before recruitment.
You can't be what you can't see, so we're helping the next generation see what's possible. ⚡
