JUNIOR LABOURER

Part time at present with possible full time at later date.

NJs Bob Power Canvas is currently seeking a junior labourer 2 days or more a week for general duties assisting our tradesman and onsite fitters.

Duties will be varied but could include:

• Machine operations
• Basic workshop work including use of power tools.
• Yard work & general housekeeping duties as required.
• General Labouring duties

To be considered for the role:

• Aptitude for working with your hands
• Competent in Maths and English
• Ability to cope with physical demands of the job
• Enjoy practical and manual work
• Alert and safety conscious
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously or in a team.

APPRENTICE WANTED...

Work for a successful company that has trained dozens of apprentices in the manufactured textiles industry over the last 40years.
The apprenticeship is a 3-year course involving both Tafe and on the job training.
The following are just some of the products you will be trained in designing, making, and fitting.
Ute canopies, tonneau covers, horse floats curtains, truck rollover tarps and taut liners, caravan rollout awnings, outside domestic and commercial blinds, and awnings manufacture. Installation of shade sails, embedding sail posts and fitting sails for council, domestic and commercial applications, and many other products.
Duties will be varied depending on the apprenticeship but include:
- Using hand tools and other machinery
- Measuring, Cutting, and machining components
- Operating a hi-frequency welder for fabric joining requirements
To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria:
- Aptitude for working with your hands.
- Competent in Maths, English and Woodworking
- Ability to cope with the physical demands of the job.
- Enjoy practical and manual work!
- Alert and safety conscious
- Good communication skills
