Casing redone in '23
Relined again with 4" and cemented in '84 possibly as part of the GAB Rehabilitation Scheme which as more bores were controlled, caused pressure increases and it started to flow again.
The old head works was fitted but with legislation changes and the need for repairs, it has been fitted with all the bells and whistles to bring it into the new century.

This bore has been going well for a while, but started giving trouble a month or so ago.
Wasn't keeping up to the cattle despite the numbers not changing.
So, out I go for a look.
When it was first equipped, the water stood at less than 10m below the surface with the pump at 19m.
So roughly 10m of water for the pump.
Not anymore.
The bore wasn't keeping up to the demand.
Good news, There was still plenty of hole below the pump.
Out with the layflat and in with the poly, another 13m of poly.
Pump is going like it should now.
The issue was the bore hadn't been pumped consistently for years as the previous owner rotated the stock and spelled paddocks and bores so the pump hadn't needed to be lower than it was to meet the demand.

Not much to show for all the fuss, but this bore will last another generation now at least.
1200 feet deep, cleaned out and relined with ABS casing to well below the pumping level and cement to prevent ingress from the surface.

Was heading out to finish a bore job when the call came through, a solar pump wasn't working after the wet.
Quick detour to fix it and back on track.

Another job, another challenge.
A pump was stuck in the 8" casing, jammed on calcium build up. The poly and electric cable came off but the safety cable held.
The pump was pushed down the bore and came free to allow another pump to be used in the bore above the old one.
We made up a tool to go down and remove the blockage above the pump. Then it came out easy.
Now we just clean the calcium buildup out of the bore, reline it, cement it and it's a brand new bore....

The rig is at work... finally...

The rig is finally up and running.
Ready to start a few reline jobs and even a new bore on the river bank near Hughenden.
