PumperDump Saving & Recycling at 88 Walker street North Sydney

Everyone at PumperDump would like to congratulate the Team at Billbergia for completing the structure at 88 Walker Street North Sydney.

Billbergia engaged PumperDump to look after all the concrete pump washout and the blowback from the delivery line during the construction. The service consisted of PumperDump Washout Trays, 2M3 Blowback Bins, and then to our Patent Pending 5M3 Blowback Bin as the structure went up.

This is what was saved and recycled:

• collected and recycled 735 tonnes of uncontaminated concrete,
• captured, treated, and recycled an estimated 16,200 litres of water, and
• avoided the use and waste of 658 m2 of plastic during the construction.

We look forward to helping Billbergia in future projects.

March project involvement - Cambridge Hotel, Surry Hills

PumperDump is proud to be assisting some familiar faces from Azzurri Concrete on the Cambridge Hotel, Surry Hills project. Construction for the 11 storey hotel building is well on the way, with concrete work beginning shortly. The completion of the main structure is expected around August 2021.

Lessons in Sustainable Construction
This is about the old way and the new way.

The jerry rigged waste concrete blowback bin (old way):
* Loose lid so concrete blowback can spill into the street and down the storm water
* Around 7 tonnes loaded is a dangerous lift on any building site
* Plastic lined means the concrete and plastic mix is destined for landfill

The PumperDump 5M3 Blow Back Bin (new way):
* Completely secured container for zero spillage
* Safely delivered and picked up using experienced operators and correct lifting equipment
* NO PLASTIC - PumperDump recycle all waste for re-use.
