Small renovation completed in Yackandandah a couple of weeks ago.
This one was fun to get stuck into once we sorted out our supply issue with getting the appropriate sized lvl to carry the load of the roof.
As you can see in the photos being a pitched roof we had to shift some loads of the roof onto different internal walls this was accomplished using our lvls. Once that was completed we let our second year apprentice brad rip, taking out the two walls to open the space right up.

The next problem we faced was how to cover up a big hole left in the flooring from wall plates and cabinetry without drawing too much attention to the area. This was accomplished by staggering cuts on the existing boards and then placing new ones of the same species of timber in its place. The floor is now ready to be filled and sanded and will come up an absolute treat.

The last job of the renovation was trying to fit this beautiful Velux skylight in, which again required sourcing lvl and framing material once that was taken care of we opened up the opening as much as we could to let in as much light as possible.

A great couple couple of days spent there and were excited to see the end results!
