MERRY CHRISTMAS | It's been an interesting year, filled with lows, but also many highs.

As a company, we are so proud of what we've achieved this year. Our team are incredible men and women who always go above and beyond for each other and our clients.

We've learnt that we have each other's backs, are agile enough to move as needed and hungry to keep growing.

Thank you for being there throughout the journey of 2021.

From us and our families to you and yours, have a very Merry Christmas and safe and happy new year.

Enjoy a much-needed break and we look forward to working with you all in 2022.

TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS | In the extremely busy run up to Christmas, it’s important we take a moment to think of those in our communities who have had it harder than most of us during the pandemic. The children who the Special Children Children's Christmas Parties were created to celebrate are particularly vulnerable, right now more than ever.

While we can’t take Covid away, knowing that our contribution adds some joy and support into their lives and the lives of their families and caregivers brings us a sense of purpose in what we do. Which is why this is something that is close to our hearts.

As we wrap up another year hit by Covid and face uncertainty going into 2022, here’s a heartwarming video to really get you in the true meaning of Christmas. Sharing love, smiles and coming together in true mateship is what this time of year should be about. Reminding ourselves, and each other, that we’re stronger together.

COME TOGETHER | Our Rockdale site hosted a BBQ and invited our team from head office. It was the first time since lockdown lifted that we were able to get our entire office team to site.

The site crew took the office folks on a tour of the completed basement of the 6-floor mixed-use project. It’s a challenging build, utilising a CSM wall and hydraulic bracing in the basement due to the close proximity of the train line. The crew are flying through the structure with the use of prefabricated lift cores and stairs.

In an industry like ours, there’s so much satisfaction in seeing the tangible side of the work we all do.

ANOTHER CHRISTMAS LUNCH | We cannot get enough of seeing our clients and peers in person and we wouldn’t have dreamed to miss out on the opportunity to celebrate the end of 2021 with good people from the Hunter and Newcastle region at last weeks Property Council NSW Hunter lunch.

The Newcastle area has so much potential that goes beyond the Johns’ brothers and its gorgeous beaches. A few of our team are from the area and have infused so much passion for Newcastle into Eastern Pacific, we’re committed to contributing towards seeing the region continue to grow and thrive.

Let’s see what 2022 can bring!

CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES | As another Covid year comes to an end, we were really excited to be able to wrap things up at the Property Council NSW Christmas lunch on Friday.

Shane Jacobson reminded us we can laugh while being resilient. As an industry, resilience has been what has helped us navigate the tough times. It was wonderful to be in a room full of friends and peers, toasting to all we have achieved.

WOMEN IN PROPERTY | Our team thoroughly enjoyed attending the Annual Women in Property lunch yesterday hosted by the Property Council NSW. We celebrated the women in our industry while very much enjoying the opportunity to share a meal with our peers and friends in person.

Hearing from the esteemed speakers about human rights and how to create safety and opportunity for women in the property industry was insightful, while shedding light on the work that still needs to be done to support women’s rights in our industry.

A big thank you to the speakers; Emeritus Professor Rosalind Croucher AM, President, Australian Human Rights Commissioner, Kate Jenkins, S*x Discrimination Commissioner, from the Human Rights Commission, The Hon. Dr Kay Patterson AO, Age Discrimination Commissioner from the Human Rights Commission.

EDUCATION & HEALTH PRECINCTS | As part of our commitment and belief in the future of Western Sydney we continue our partnership with the Property Council NSW

With a great line up of speakers and panelists at yesterdays breakfast we heard that education and health facilities can no longer be stand alone buildings or campuses but they need to understand what is needed within the community and create precincts and ecosystems that can deliver to multiple stakeholders.

A common vision and purpose is required to deliver places that meet this brief and have a real world impact on the communities they contribute to.

RELATIONSHIPS | Just like any personal relationship, business relationships require continual maintenance. A mutual benefit and ongoing communication are important ingredients to success.

In an economic environment that we are in right now, it is crucial to have a solid relationship with your banker. Our Director, Chris Abouhamad shared his thoughts on the benefits of having a lender who understands the potential of your business.

SLEEPOUT | Last night was the ’s NSW Sleepout raising much needed funds and awareness for homeless youth!

Even with the terrible weather we are privileged to still have a roof over our heads. But the sad reality is that this is not the case for thousands of young people who sleep homeless every single night.

With some of these young people sleeping cold and wet on the streets, it hits home even harder in conditions like that. So along with your help we want to make a difference!

The campaign fell just short of the overall goal but you can still show your support by donating via the link in our bio to help provide a safe, warm and dry home for many young people!

Every dollar counts no matter how big or small. Thanks for your support!

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS | By immersing ourselves in other cultures beyond our own, we can learn about each other - where people came from, what their traditions are, and what they struggle with as a community. It also forces us to criticize assumptions held about our own daily life and practices, encouraging incredible personal growth.

We had the pleasure of celebrating Diwali yesterday over a lovely Indian feast and learnt more about it from our Finance Manager, Mohit who shared how the customs and traditions are celebrated in different parts of the country.

Diwali, or "the Festival of Lights", is one of India's most popular Hindu festivals and it marks the triumph of good over evil, peace over joy, and light over darkness.

CELEBRATE | Whether it’s a birthday or a new baby, an engagement or a marriage, a promotion or someone who's smashing their own personal goals, we love to celebrate the milestones of our team together.

Enjoyment comes as we witness others succeed in both their work and personal lives and it is great to be back in the office and share these moments with each other.
