Could you spot the early signs of termite damage?

Termites can cause significant damage while remaining hidden from view, so some of the warning signs can be easy to overlook.

Keep an eye out for changes around timber, doors, windows, skirting boards and other areas where timber is present.

If you notice something that doesn't look right, don't assume it's just cosmetic. Having the area checked can help determine whether there is an underlying problem that needs attention.

From stripped back to taking shape again.

Once the demolition and preparation were complete, the space started to take shape again with the installation of new plasterboard.

This stage is where you can really start to see the difference. The area moves from a stripped-back construction site towards a finished space, ready for the next stages of the project.

Here’s a look at the plasterboard installation.

What would make your home easier to live in?

Sometimes the best home improvements aren't the biggest ones. Better storage, improved layouts, easier access or more functional spaces can all make everyday life more convenient.

Before you see the finished result, there’s often a fair bit of work happening behind the scenes.

With the built-in robes removed, the next stage involved carefully stripping back the existing materials and preparing the area for the new work.

Demolition is an important part of a renovation. It gives us the opportunity to see what we're working with and prepare the space properly before rebuilding begins.

A look at the demolition stage of this project.

Thinking about changing the layout of your home? Start with the way you actually live in it.

A layout change can make a big difference to how a home feels and functions, but there’s more to it than simply moving a wall or opening up a room.

Existing structure, plumbing, electrical, drainage and the way the space will be used all need to be considered before work begins.

A little planning at the start can help make sure the new layout works not just on paper, but for everyday life.

A renovation doesn't always mean starting from scratch.

Some projects are about making targeted changes that improve how a home works, rather than completely rebuilding a space. The right approach depends on the property, the problem and what you want to achieve.

Sometimes making a space work better starts with taking something out.

This project started with removing the existing built-in robes to open up the space and prepare it for the next stage of the works.

Before new finishes can go in, the existing space needs to be carefully stripped back and cleared so we can work with a clean starting point.

Here’s a look at the first stage of the project.

Your existing home can tell you a lot before renovation begins.

Cracks, moisture, movement, ageing materials and previous repairs can all provide useful information about an existing property. Understanding what is already there helps determine the right approach for the work ahead.

👉 Considering a renovation? Let's talk about your plans.
