It was head down and bum up this past week for Tony, pulling some long hours to install a new roll cage for a client's drift car. Vehicle back to Perth today to, I am sure a very happy customer... A special thanks to Daimo and Guppy for spending their spare time helping-very much appreciated!..

Here is an interesting job I completed to modify a starter motor that is used to provide reverse on a Harly Davidson V-Rod Trike. The original setup was too fast to maneuver the bike for parking etc so the owner want to see if we could gear it down a bit. I managed to halve the ratio by replacing the pinon reduction gear from 40tooth to an 80tooth, which as you can see involved making a new housing to suit.

Here's an update on some extensive modifications to a drift car I've completed recently. Customer was after 55 to 60degrees of steering lock to help him get more angle through the corners at the track. Std lock probably is about 30 or so and this car already had 40deg just from modifying the steering arms previously. To achieve more resulted in fabricating new lower control arms, moving steering rack forward, shortening steering arms even more, and then cutting out anything that fouled the tyres at these crazy angles. Lower ball joints were moved down to help restore roll centre from the car being lowered and a bit of weight reduction of K-frame. This car is fitted with a fairly modified LS1 and single huge turbo, and goes pretty good.

Bruno Gianoncelli's 1950 6.8-litre V10 Mecury. Commenced showing winning a stack of awards around Australia (including Top Judged Elite at Summernats 19 in 2006) and then over to US with further success ... From a slab of aluminium I made the billet grille and custom shifter.. Many hours spent ensuring it was perfect-was sure worth it!
