Fun fact Friday!
Did you know that The Story Bridge was constructed using over 6 million bolts and approx. 1.5 million rivets? The bridge used around 12,000 tons of structural steel, fabricated with precision and assembled on-site, as well as 38,000 cubic metres of concrete. The bridge was built as a part of a public works project during the Great Depression, employing around 400 workers and opened on the 6th of July 1940
