👋 Meet the Team – Lachie
Lachie has been part of the Spencer Constructions team for several years and has now built an impressive career in the construction industry, with 8 years of experience.
Originally joining us as a Trade Assistant, Lachie had already completed his qualification as a Boat Builder. Recognising his skills and potential, we supported him through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process to gain his carpentry qualification. Since then, he’s continued to grow within the business and is now one of our Supervisors.
Lachie is currently overseeing two projects while recently celebrating the successful completion of another two—keeping him busy and doing what he enjoys most.
His favourite part of the job is mentoring the next generation of carpenters and apprentices, coaching them through the building process and helping them develop both their skills and confidence on site.
Outside of work, Lachie enjoys fishing, surfing and spending time with friends whenever he gets the chance.
With his passion for mentoring, strong leadership and hands-on approach, Lachie is helping shape not only quality homes, but the next generation of tradespeople at Spencer Constructions.

👋 Meet the Team – Bryce
Bryce joined the Spencer Constructions team in 2020, already one year into his apprenticeship. Since then, he has continued to develop his skills, completing his carpentry qualification in 2023. In just three years as a qualified carpenter, Bryce has worked his way up to become one of our Leading Hands—a reflection of his hard work, commitment and leadership on site.
Bryce’s favourite part of the job is working alongside the team to bring each project to life. He enjoys seeing everyone come together with a shared goal of creating a home that clients have always dreamed of.
When he’s not on site, you’ll usually find Bryce camping, fishing or relaxing with a cold ###X Gold after a hard week’s work.
Bryce’s strong work ethic, team-first attitude and passion for quality workmanship make him a respected member of the Spencer Constructions team, and we’re proud to see him continue to grow within the business.

👋 Meet the Team – Dan
Dan is one of our Supervisors at Spencer Constructions and brings 19 years of experience in the construction industry to the team.
With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality, Dan plays a key role in ensuring our projects run smoothly from start to finish. His favourite part of the job is seeing a project come together and watching the vision on paper become a finished space that clients can enjoy for years to come.
Dan is currently supervising four projects across Brisbane and surrounds, including one very special project that we’re incredibly excited about and can’t wait to share with you all in the coming months.
When he’s not on site, you’ll find Dan enjoying quality time with this young family, catching up on the footy and having a beer.
Dan’s experience, leadership and dedication make him a valued member of the Spencer Constructions team, helping us deliver quality projects for our clients every day.

Throwing it back to one of our favourite projects – Yarradale.

This renovation was all about striking the perfect balance between preserving the charm of the original home and creating a contemporary space designed for modern family living.

From the spacious open-plan living areas and entertainer's kitchen to the seamless indoor-outdoor connection, every detail was carefully considered to maximise the home's sloping block and create spaces the owners could enjoy for years to come. Complete with a stunning pool, multiple living zones and thoughtful architectural design, this project is one we're incredibly proud to have delivered.

👋 Meet the Team – TJ
TJ is one of our Carpenters at Spencer Constructions and another team member we’re proud to have watched grow through the business. After completing his apprenticeship with us, TJ has now been in the construction industry for 8 years and continues to develop both his skills and leadership.
Over the years, TJ has worked across a wide range of job sites, gaining valuable experience and building a strong understanding of different aspects of construction. With a new project starting soon, TJ will be taking on additional responsibilities on site, supporting the team and continuing to step up in his role as he grows within the business.
TJ’s favourite part of the job is seeing all the hard work pay off at the end of a project, when everything comes together and clients can enjoy the finished result.
Outside of work, TJ enjoys playing baseball, spending quality time with his family and recently celebrated one of life’s biggest milestones—welcoming a baby boy into the world.
TJ’s dedication, positive attitude and commitment to quality make him a valued member of the Spencer Constructions team, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow with us.

👋 Meet the Team – Nick
Nick recently stepped into the role of Construction Manager at Spencer Constructions, bringing with him 19 years of industry experience and a wealth of practical knowledge. Having been part of the Spencer Constructions team since April 2018, Nick has become an integral part of our business and continues to play a key role in delivering quality projects for our clients.
While his new role sees him overseeing multiple projects and supporting our site teams, Nick’s favourite part of the job is still being out on site and seeing all that you are achieving on each project.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys camping with his wife and daughter, heading to the beach whenever he gets the chance to catch a few waves and winding down with a cold ###X Gold.
Nick’s leadership, experience and hands-on approach make him an invaluable part of the Spencer Constructions team, and we’re excited to see him continue to lead our projects and people into the future.

🎉 Happy 14th Birthday, Spencer Constructions! 🎉

Fourteen years ago, Ben started Spencer Constructions with a ute and trailer, plenty of determination and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come—not just as a business, but as a team and a family.

Over the past 14 years we’ve:

🏡 Delivered close to $100 million worth of projects.

👥 Grown from a small team into a trusted crew of 30 dedicated professionals.

👷 Helped close to 20 apprentices become qualified tradesmen, leaders and, in some cases, successful business owners in their own right.

🏆 Reached milestones and received industry recognition we’re incredibly proud of.

❤️ Celebrated Ben and Olivia building their family with a wedding and the arrival of two beautiful children.

🤝 Built lasting relationships with incredible clients, suppliers, subcontractors and industry partners.

We’ve never set out to be the biggest builder—only to build quality projects, invest in great people, and strive to leave every client proud of what we’ve created together.

But more than anything, we’re proud of the people.

To our incredible team, thank you for everything you do. Your dedication, pride and commitment are what make Spencer Constructions what it is today. And to every client, supplier, subcontractor and industry partner who has supported us along the way—thank you for being part of our journey.
