Project Jessop - Retaining Character, Creating Connection.

How do you modernise a classic Queenslander for a growing family? For this project, it was all about balancing tradition with contemporary lifestyle needs. We transformed a dark downstairs level and underutilised formal spaces into bright, independent zones for the clients young adult children, all while seamlessly connecting the indoor living areas to the pool. Modern upgrades like the concrete spiral stairs, natural stone, and oak cabinetry beautifully contrast with preserved VJ walls and traditional stained glass. The result is a warm, flexible home designed to evolve with the family.
