🤝Leadership isn't built in the big moments

It's built in the everyday conversations, the difficult discussions, and the decisions leaders make when nobody is watching.

Day 2 of BCI's inaugural Leadership Program kept the momentum going, with our Operations leaders diving deeper into the practical side of people leadership and what it means day-to-day across site teams.

✨As Simon Sinek said:
"Leadership is not about being in charge. It's about taking care of those in your charge."

Strong leadership creates stronger teams, safer workplaces, and a culture where people know what's expected, feel supported, and can perform at their best.

A huge thank you to Ash Hunt and Sasha Burnham from Veraison for creating a learning environment that encouraged open discussion, challenged thinking and helped our leaders grow in confidence and capability.

Winter is coming...❄️

In 3 weeks, on one of the coldest nights of the year, BCI Minerals Managing Director David Boshoff will join business and community leaders across Australia in raising awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness.

More than 122,000 Australians experience homelessness every day. These aren't just statistics, they're people, families and individual stories.

The funds raised through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout help Vinnies provide essential support, including food, emergency accommodation and ongoing assistance to help people find stability and a place to call home.

We're proud to support David as he takes part again this year and encourages others to help make a difference. We're equally proud to have a leader who is committed not only to our business, but also to supporting the communities around us.

We recently welcomed the NAIF Board to the Mardie Operation for their first site visit, providing a fantastic opportunity to showcase the scale, progress, and the long-term benefits this investment will deliver for Northern Australia. 🌏

Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility has played a key role in supporting BCI Minerals through a concessional loan facility of up to $490 million, helping enable the critical infrastructure required to develop one of the world’s largest solar evaporation salt projects.

As one of our major funding partners, it was incredibly rewarding to host the Board on site and provide a firsthand look at the operation, including seeing salt production up close for the very first time 🧂

Walking the site together highlighted not only the scale and momentum of the operation, but also the importance of strong partnerships in driving regional growth, job creation, and long-term economic development across the Pilbara and Northern Australia.

A sincere thank you to the NAIF Board and team for their ongoing support and for taking the time to visit Mardie. 🤝

A beautiful way to finish the week 💙

We love seeing initiatives that create real impact in the community, and this is one we’re especially proud to support. Karratha Senior High School’s PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) program is helping students be recognised and rewarded for demonstrating responsibility, respect and inclusivity every day.

What makes this initiative so special is that it’s about more than rewards. It’s about building confidence, encouraging positive choices and helping create a supportive and inclusive environment for students to thrive.

Seeing students genuinely excited to live the school values has been incredibly rewarding. ✨

🚧 Sulphate of Potash (SOP) Update 🚧

Progress continues to build across BCI Minerals’ SOP pilot program, with another encouraging milestone recently achieved.

The KTMS (SOP) trial crystallisers have now successfully transitioned from batch to continuous steady-state operation.

Mardie's salt production has the potential to unlock several high-value byproducts. SOP is the first being trialled by BCI, supporting Australian food security and global agricultural productivity through the production of premium fertiliser products.

This latest achievement reflects the strong technical momentum and the exciting opportunities ahead!

BCI Minerals was proud to support the Karratha Kangaroos Junior Rugby League at last week’s BCI Sponsor Round, marking our first year as a club sponsor and an exciting step in strengthening our connection with the local community.🏉

It was fantastic to be part of an afternoon that brought together players, families, volunteers and supporters in such a strong show of community spirit. The atmosphere across the grounds was incredible and reflected everything grassroots sport represents.

What made the day even more special was seeing our people genuinely involved. BCI volunteers were joined on the ground by Managing Director David Boshoff, GM Operations Mhairi Cameron and members of the BCI Board, all getting behind the club and spending time with the local community.

We’re proud to play a small part in helping local clubs continue to create positive opportunities and connections for young people and families. A big thank you to the Karratha Kangaroos Junior Rugby League for having us, we’re excited for the season ahead!

📣Friday Highlights from Mardie

The BCI Board visited Mardie this week for a firsthand look at the incredible progress on site. From touring the operation to standing right at the edge of production, it was a great opportunity to showcase the progress happening every day.

There was plenty of excitement, a few “wow” moments, and even some hands-on curiosity as they checked out salt growth in the crystallisers for the first time.

A huge thanks to everyone involved in making the visit a success.

Great people, great conversations, and a great reminder of what we’re building together.

📣 Go team!

📣 Go team!

This week at KKJRL is proudly brought to you by our incredible partners, BCI Minerals! 🦘💛🖤🧡🤍

While this may be BCI’s first year partnering with our association, the impact they’ve already made has been enormous.

BCI chose to support KKJRL because they wanted to partner with a community organisation built on strong values, inclusion, growth, and connection - and we’re incredibly proud to have them as part of our roo family.

BCI Minerals are developing the Mardie Salt & Potash Project right here in the Pilbara - creating long-term opportunities for our region and continuing to invest in local communities. Their focus on community and regional development aligns strongly with what we’re building at KKJRL.

From supporting our Round activities and helping fund our BBQ and canteen operations, to personalised serviettes and getting involved on game night - BCI have fully embraced what grassroots rugby league in the Pilbara is all about.

What makes this partnership so valuable is BCI’s genuine commitment to community connection, supporting our families, and celebrating the kids who make KKJRL such a special club.

A huge thank you to the entire BCI team for backing grassroots rugby league in the Pilbara. If you see the BCI crew around this week, make sure you say hello! 💪🏉

We’re proud to support BCI Managing Director David Boshoff as he takes part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout again this year.

Homelessness isn’t always visible. For many Australians, it means sleeping in cars, staying in temporary shelters, or moving from couch to couch without a secure place to call home. With rising living costs, rental shortages and limited affordable housing, more people than ever are facing this reality.

📅On 18 June, David will be sleeping outdoors to raise awareness and funds for Australians experiencing homelessness. While one night can’t replicate the challenges many people face every day, it’s an important opportunity to bring attention to an issue affecting communities across the country.

Last year, the support was incredible, with $7,971 raised.
This year, we’re aiming to do it again.
