♿ New Accessible Parking Bays Completed

Another small but important improvement completed at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Wollongong.

The new accessible parking bays have now been completed, providing improved access and convenience for visitors to the Cathedral and Parish precinct.

It’s great to see these practical improvements taking shape as part of the broader works underway at St Francis Xavier.

A Great Start at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Wollongong

It’s exciting to see the St Francis Xavier Cathedral Project officially getting underway.

This week we commenced site establishment and have already completed some of the initial minor works associated with getting the site ready for the project. While these may seem like small steps, reaching this point has been a significant achievement for everyone involved and marks the beginning of what will be an important project for this much-loved Wollongong landmark.

Working on a heritage-listed building of this significance comes with its own challenges, particularly while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for the Cathedral, parish and wider community to continue operating.

We’re proud to be involved in delivering these works and look forward to seeing the project progress over the coming months.

A great start — and plenty more to come.

Late last year, I was approached to look at a project for our ongoing client, the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong, for St Michael's Parish Nowra. Of course, we said yes.

For this one, we relied heavily on our long-serving Wollongong team and also brought in some outstanding local South Coast colleagues to meet an extremely tight timeframe. The site was completed in time for the new year, as requested, fully refurbished and modern, with the expectation of minimal maintenance and known lifecycle costs going forward.
