Some people are there from the beginning. They guide you, support you, push you forward and before you realize it, they become a part of the journey.

For UIU MARINER, Saifur Rahman Sir has been one of those people.

From mentoring us to being there whenever we needed guidance, you've always been more than just a mentor. Your support, advice and belief in the team have been a part of so many moments that brought us this far.

Now it's time for a new journey.

As you begin your PhD at the University of Florida, we couldn't be happier and prouder for you, Sir. It's going to feel a little different without you around but we're excited to see you take this next step.

Today, UIU Mariner conducted the first set of physical interviews for the formation of the new 2026–2027 team.

The Electrical, Logistics, Mechanical, and R&D Teams stepped forward today, bringing their passion, skills, and enthusiasm as they took the first step toward becoming part of the next generation of UIU Mariner.

Every interview was more than just a selection process, it was an opportunity to discover the ideas, dedication, and potential that will shape the future of UIU Mariner.

Every great team has people who quietly lay the foundation behind the scenes. For UIU MARINER, Fahim Hafiz Sir has been one of those people.

From the very beginning of our journey, you've been more than a mentor, you've been a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and belief. You stood beside us throughout our journey, traveling with the team to the MATE ROV Competition 2025 and continuing to mentor and support us every step of the way during our 2026 campaign, even from afar. You've been part of every milestone that has shaped who we are today.

As you begin your PhD journey at Penn State University, we couldn't be prouder. While it's hard to imagine UIU MARINER without your presence, we're excited to see you take this next step and know you'll continue inspiring many more students.
