📢 ICPC Team Formation Contest 2026

The PCIU Computer Club, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Port City International University, is pleased to announce the ICPC Team Formation Contest 2026.

This contest serves as the official selection process for forming teams that will represent Port City International University at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) and other inter-university programming competitions.

How can classroom knowledge be transformed into real-world products and meaningful career opportunities? 💡

PCC is pleased to support “Idea to Impact: Scaling Products Beyond Classroom”, an innovation-focused session featuring Abdur Rashid Sohag, Founder & CEO, Pupil School Bus Ltd., and President, Startup Association of Bangladesh Alumni.

🎊Successful Launch of the Research Colloquium Series!🎊

A seminar titled “Hopfield Neural Networks and Logic Mining: A New Frontier in AI Research” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Port City International University, on 8 August 2026 at A-310 and A-312, PCIU.

Dr. Syed Anayet Karim, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Bangladesh Maritime University, Dhaka, and former Associate Professor & Additional Director of IQAC, Port City International University, graced the event as the Keynote Speaker. He delivered an insightful and engaging discussion on emerging research directions in Artificial Intelligence, particularly focusing on Hopfield Neural Networks and Logic Mining.

The session was presided over by Farzina Akther, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.The session was attended by faculty members and students of the CSE Department, who actively participated in the discussion and Q&A session.

The seminar provided valuable insights into emerging AI research areas and encouraged students to explore research, innovation, and new possibilities in the field of Artificial Intelligence.🤍
