Position: Injection Mold Design Engineer
A reputed Group of Companies is looking for a skilled, motivated, and experienced B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering professional to join its team as an Injection Mold Design Engineer.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design and modify Injection Molds using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed 2D Manufacturing Drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D Models, Assemblies, Mold Components and mechanical designs.
- Design and optimize Core, Cavity, Insert, Runner, Gate, Cooling & Ejection Systems.
- Review plastic product designs based on DFM/DFA principles.
- Coordinate with mold manufacturers, machining, production and engineering teams.
- Support Mold Installation, Trial, Testing & Troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve common injection molding defects such as Short Shot, Flash, Sink Mark, Warpage and Weld Line.
- Prepare and maintain Mold Drawings, BOM, Technical Documentation & Engineering Records.
- Provide technical support for New Product Development (NPD) and production improvement.
🛠️ Required Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks & AutoCAD.
- Practical experience in Injection Mold Design & Mold Components.
- Knowledge of Engineering Drawing, GD&T, Tolerance & BOM.
- Understanding of Injection Molding Machines & Manufacturing Processes.
- Practical knowledge of Mold Trial & Troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Engineering Plastics & Mold Steel.
- Basic knowledge of CNC, EDM & Wire-Cut Machining.
- Knowledge of Runner, Gate, Cooling & Ejection Systems.
- Understanding of DFM/DFA & Product Design Review.
- Mold Flow Analysis knowledge will be considered an added advantage.
🎓 Educational Qualification
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
💼 Experience
3–7 years of relevant experience in Injection Mold Design, Mold Manufacturing, Injection Molding, or a related field is preferred.
Candidates with strong practical knowledge and relevant industry experience will be given priority.
💰 Salary & Career Opportunity
BDT 60,000 – 80,000/- per month
