Mesh analysis is a widely used method in electrical engineering for circuit analysis. It directs us to find the current flowing in different loops of a circuit. In this method, we apply Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law and Current Law combined to each closed loop and form equations. Here all the resistances are positive. We don't need to worry about the polarity of resistances. But the polarity of batteries must be considered. After solving these equations, we can easily find the unknown currents and voltages. Mesh analysis is very useful because it makes complex circuits easier to understand and solve. It is mainly used for planar circuits, where the circuit can be drawn without crossing wires.
