🛰️ The End of an Era: ISS Set to Retire in 2031 — What Comes Next?
After more than 25 years in orbit, the International Space Station (ISS) — humanity’s longest-running laboratory in space — is reaching the end of its lifespan.

Built in 1998 through a global partnership (NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, JAXA, and CSA), the ISS has been home to continuous human presence since 2000. But time, radiation, and wear have taken their toll. Micro-cracks, air leaks, and aging hardware now make maintenance increasingly difficult and costly.
NASA plans a controlled deorbit in 2031, guiding the station into Earth’s atmosphere for a fiery descent over the Pacific Ocean’s “Spacecraft Cemetery” — Point Nemo.
So what’s next for low-Earth orbit (LEO)?

Instead of one shared hub, the future will be commercial and modular — led by private companies under NASA’s Commercial LEO Destinations Program:

🚀 Axiom Space – Modules will first attach to the ISS, then detach into a free-flying station.

🚀 Blue Origin’s Orbital Reef – Designed as a “business park in orbit.”

🚀 Voyager Space + Airbus (Starlab) – A science-focused, next-generation lab.

🚀 Vast Space (Haven-1) – The first privately developed small station, a precursor to Haven-2.

This marks a historic shift — from a single government-run platform to multiple private stations shaping the future of research, industry, and even tourism in orbit.

The question is no longer whether space will be commercialized, but who will lead this new orbital economy. 🌍✨

💻 Fixed Kali Linux Repository Key Error 🛠️

While updating my Kali Linux system today, I ran into this error:

The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available:

NO_PUBKEY ED65462EC8D5E4C5

Error: The repository 'http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling InRelease' is not signed.

This happens when the GPG key for verifying Kali repositories is missing or outdated.

Here’s how I fixed it 👇

✅ Solution (Modern Method):

sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/keyrings

curl -fsSL https://archive.kali.org/archive-key.asc | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /etc/apt/keyrings/kali-archive-keyring.gpg

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

Then make sure this line is in your sources.list:

deb [signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/kali-archive-keyring.gpg] http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free non-free-firmware contrib

Finally, run:

sudo apt update

✅ Issue solved — repositories are now verified and secure.
