TRANSMISSION INCOMING FROM BEYOND THE HORIZON: JOIN BRACU DIGANTA!

BRACU Diganta, under the Laboratory of Space System Engineering and Technology (LaSSET) at the BSRM School of Engineering, BRAC University, is opening team slots for our next major development and launch cycle.

At BRACU Diganta, members work across avionics, embedded systems, communication, telemetry, autonomous control, mechanical systems, computational intelligence, and mission operations, taking ideas from initial concepts to fully integrated systems tested under real mission constraints. Our team has represented BRAC University at international aerospace and engineering competitions, taking on complex mission challenges alongside teams from around the world. Our work also extends into research and development, with members contributing to research presented at international conferences and global academic platforms.

We are looking for dedicated and interested students who are willing to learn, contribute, and work collaboratively as part of the team.

2. Communication and Data Handling Subsystem
3. Mechanical Subsystem
4. Computational and Intelligence Subsystem
5. Operations Division
6. Sponsorship Division
7. Media and Marketing Division

On July 29, BRACU Diganta had the opportunity to present our Diganta Learning Kit at the Pre-event of Green Tomorrow: Youth for a Sustainable Future, organized by the BRAC University Outreach Team, in collaboration with Social Impact Lab (SIL), BRAC University.

The Diganta Learning Kit is one of our initiatives to make satellite and space systems engineering more accessible, practical, and engaging for students. Designed as an affordable hands on platform, the kit allows learners to explore concepts such as sensor integration, telemetry, wireless communication, ground station operation, embedded systems and system engineering through a working model.

During the session, our team demonstrated the kit, its modular sensor boards, custom Ground Control Station, communication system, and deployment mechanism to the audience. We were also delighted to share the project with Dr. David Dowland, Registrar of BRAC University, and receive valuable interest and feedback on the initiative.

We sincerely thank the BRAC University Outreach Team, Youth for a Green Earth, Social Impact Lab BRACU, and everyone involved for giving BRACU Diganta the opportunity to showcase our work.

From building space systems to helping the next generation understand how they work, we keep moving forward. 🌍🚀

As 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗦(𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗧𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗦𝗮𝘁) prepares for launch aboard JAXA’s H3 rocket we celebrate two of our advisors, 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗞𝗮𝗳𝗶 and 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮, whose contributions have helped make this mission possible.

As lecturers of BRAC University’s EEE Department, advisors of Laboratory of Space System Engineering & Technology - LaSSET, and key engineers behind Bangladesh’s first satellite, 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗖 𝗢𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮, they have contributed to VERTECS across mission software, onboard systems, autonomous operations and ground station development.

Their involvement in Kyushu Institute of Technology’s first astronomical satellite highlights the growing presence of Bangladeshi engineers in international space missions. For us at BRACU Diganta and LaSSET, their work is more than an achievement. It is proof that the skills developed in our labs and workshops can reach orbit!

We congratulate them and wish 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗦 a successful launch and mission ahead.

BRACU Diganta will be conducting a session at the WROBD 2026 Open House Ceremony organized by World Robot Olympiad-Bangladesh.

The event is open to everyone. So come visit us and explore our projects, ideas and innovations along with other segments!

We are excited to announce the WROBD Open House Event on May 9th! This is a unique opportunity for students to dive deep into the world of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) and learn how they can represent Bangladesh on the global stage.

​one to one session: Get a clear understanding of all WRO segments and how to participate.

​Innovation Showcase: Explore a variety of impressive robotics projects developed by fellow students.

​Hands-on Experience: Students will have the chance to interact directly with robots and test their coding skills in real-time.
