Alhamdulillah we have successfully prepared DDC conditioner and completed the trial run.

DDC stands for Differential Diameter Conditioner. It is a double-shaft conditioning and mixing machine used in animal feed, poultry feed, aqua feed and other pellet production lines.
Working Principle
Raw material enters the DDC Conditioner through the feeder. Inside the machine, two counter-rotating shafts mix the material thoroughly. Steam, water, oil, molasses or other liquid additives can be added during the conditioning process.
The two shafts normally operate at different speeds, creating strong mixing and a zigzag movement of the material. This increases the contact time between the feed and steam, resulting in better moisture absorption, heating and mixing.
Main Functions
• Homogeneous mixing of raw materials
• Steam conditioning
• Moisture and liquid addition
• Improved starch gelatinization
• Better pellet quality and durability
• Longer retention time for better conditioning
• Reduced harmful microorganisms such as Salmonella in properly conditioned feed Double Shaft Operation
The DDC has two independent shafts/rotors:
• Large-diameter shaft: Usually operates at a lower speed and provides strong material movement and mixing.
• Small-diameter shaft: Usually operates at a different, often higher, speed to improve mixing and material circulation.
⚠️ Exact RPM cannot be determined from the machine name alone. The correct RPM depends on the DDC manufacturer's design, gearbox ratio, pulley size, shaft diameter, motor speed and capacity. Therefore, the exact RPM should be checked from the machine nameplate or gearbox/pulley specification.
Typical Conditioning Time
The material retention time is commonly around 60–120 seconds, depending on the machine design, material type, paddle angle and operating speed.
