পার্টিশন ওয়ালে ইটের পরিবর্তে সিমেন্ট বোর্ড ব্যবহার করার বেশ কিছু উপকারিতা রয়েছে, যা আধুনিক নির্মাণ ক্ষেত্রে একে জনপ্রিয় করছে। নিচে কয়েকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সুবিধা তুলে ধরা হলো—

১. ওজন কম, কাঠামোর ওপর চাপ কম
সিমেন্ট বোর্ড ইটের তুলনায় অনেক হালকা, ফলে বিল্ডিং-এর স্ট্রাকচারাল লোড কমে যায়। এটি বিশেষ করে বহুতল ভবনে খুবই কার্যকর।

২. দ্রুত ইনস্টলেশন ও শ্রম খরচ কম
ইটের দেয়াল গাঁথতে ও প্লাস্টার করতে সময় লাগে, কিন্তু সিমেন্ট বোর্ড দ্রুত ইনস্টল করা যায় এবং প্লাস্টারিংয়ের দরকার হয় না। ফলে নির্মাণ ব্যয় ও সময় দুটোই কমে।

৩. জায়গা বাঁচায়
