✈️ BIG MOVE IN THE ACMI MARKET!

Atlas Air is expanding its global footprint with a 49% stake in Air Atlanta, one of the world's leading ACMI and charter operators. The deal will strengthen Atlas Air's cargo and passenger capabilities while boosting its presence across Europe.

As part of the transaction, Titan Aircraft Investments will acquire and lease back Air Atlanta's widebody fleet, providing additional flexibility for future growth. Air Atlanta's management team will retain 51% ownership and continue leading the airline's operations.

The partnership comes as airlines worldwide face ongoing capacity constraints and growing demand for ACMI services. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

🌍 A strategic move that could reshape the ACMI and cargo aviation landscape in the years ahead.

Pilots who’ve flown both Boeing and Airbus widebodies keep saying the same thing... the Airbus A350 cockpit seats are on another level.

Captains who transitioned from the B777 and B787 say the A350 seats recline much further, making long-haul rest breaks far more comfortable. Some even describe them as “almost lie-flat.”

On ultra long flights, small details like this make a huge difference for crew comfort and fatigue. One more reason why many pilots love flying the A350 🔥

An arrival 250 years in the making just landed in Denver.

The Freedom Plane arrived at Denver International Airport carrying historic documents connected to America’s founding era. It’s part of the lead up to the America250 celebration marking 250 years since the United States began its journey as a nation.

These rare pieces of history are now on display at the History Colorado Center from May 28 to June 14, giving visitors a chance to see them up close and reflect on the story of the country’s origins.

A reminder that history isn’t just in books, sometimes it literally arrives on a plane.

Delta is facing a noticeable customer satisfaction issue on one of its most important routes, New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX).

Even though this is one of the airline’s highest-revenue and most premium-heavy routes, recent feedback shows passenger satisfaction is falling below Delta’s domestic average. The problem seems to be less about the product itself and more about reliability and communication during delays or disruptions.

To address this, Delta is reportedly asking crews to be more proactive with onboard updates so passengers aren’t left in the dark when things don’t go as planned. At the same time, the airline continues to invest heavily in premium upgrades like lounges, Wi-Fi, and cabin improvements.

It’s a reminder that even on flagship routes, consistency and communication matter just as much as luxury.

Amazon is increasing cooperation with Blue Origin as the company pushes forward with its Project Kuiper satellite internet network. According to recent reports, Blue Origin’s heavy-lift New Glenn rocket is expected to handle a significant number of upcoming Kuiper satellite launches in the coming months.

The move comes as Amazon races to meet a key Federal Communications Commission (FCC) deadline requiring the company to deploy at least half of its planned satellite constellation by mid-2026. Project Kuiper aims to provide global broadband internet coverage and compete directly with SpaceX’s rapidly expanding Starlink network.

Blue Origin recently achieved a major milestone when its New Glenn rocket successfully completed its first orbital mission earlier this year. The rocket is designed to carry large payloads into orbit and is considered one of the strongest future competitors to SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy and Starship systems.

Amazon has already secured launch contracts with several companies including United Launch Alliance (ULA), Arianespace, and SpaceX. However, the growing involvement of Blue Origin highlights how Jeff Bezos’ two companies are becoming increasingly connected in the commercial space industry.

Industry analysts say the success of New Glenn could play a crucial role in helping Amazon deploy satellites faster and strengthen its position in the global satellite internet market. As competition in the space sector continues to grow, the partnership between Amazon and Blue Origin is now being closely watched by the aerospace industry worldwide.

Boeing is stepping up 737 MAX production again, now reaching 47 aircraft per month after stabilizing quality levels over the past months. The focus this time is steady output rather than rushing back to previous highs.

The company has cleared recent FAA checks, and internal lines are reportedly running more consistently, including work tied to Spirit AeroSystems integration under Boeing’s control.

Next target is around 52 per month with added capacity from the Everett line, though leadership is avoiding the aggressive production peaks seen in the past.

Meanwhile, the 787 Dreamliner program is still dealing with certification delays on business class seating, keeping output below its 10 per month goal for now.

Air travel only works when everyone respects the shared space around them. ✈️

This passenger stretched their leg straight up into the cabin with their sock practically in other people’s faces like it was completely normal. Flights are already crowded and uncomfortable enough without making the experience worse for everyone nearby.

A little basic courtesy goes a long way onboard:
Keep your feet down, respect personal space, and remember you’re sharing the cabin with hundreds of other people.

Would this bother you on a flight? 😬

🇺🇸✈️ Wealthy American travelers are becoming a major lifeline for Europe’s airlines in 2026.

Airlines like Lufthansa, Air France-KLM, and British Airways’ parent company IAG are seeing strong profits from premium transatlantic routes as affluent U.S. tourists continue flying to Europe in large numbers.

Despite rising fuel costs, economic uncertainty, and geopolitical tensions, demand for business-class and luxury travel between the U.S. and Europe remains strong. Analysts say rich American travelers are helping European carriers offset weaker demand in other markets.

Industry experts also expect major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup to further boost international air travel demand in the coming months.

The Trump administration is reportedly considering a major new immigration-related travel policy that could impact some of America’s busiest airports.

According to multiple U.S. media reports, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said DHS is drawing up plans that could halt immigration and customs processing for international flights arriving in so-called “sanctuary cities.”

If implemented, the move could affect major international hubs in cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Officials argue the proposal is tied to local governments refusing to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. Critics, however, warn the policy could create massive disruption for airlines, tourism, and international travelers — especially with the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching in the United States.

Industry groups and aviation leaders have already expressed concern over the possible economic and operational impact if customs staffing is reduced or suspended at key airports.

At this stage, no final decision has been announced, but the proposal is already sparking intense political and legal debate across the country.

NTSB Calls For FAA Update To Runway Condition Matrix

Recommendations follow wet-runway overrun investigations.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on Tuesday recommended that the FAA revise its runway condition assessment matrix, or RCAM, to better account for braking performance during periods of heavy rainfall.

According to the NTSB, the recommendations follow investigations into 11 runway overrun accidents and incidents between 2008 and 2022 involving landings on wet runways. The agency said the current RCAM does not account for the progressive loss of wheel braking friction associated with increasing rainfall intensity, which can affect landing distance calculations.
The NTSB is also recommending that the FAA add more rainfall intensity descriptors to aviation weather reports. The agency said current weather reporting does not identify rainfall rates above the existing heavy rain threshold of 0.3 inches per hour.

In the 2019 Miami Air Flight 293 overrun at Jacksonville Naval Air Station, for example, rainfall rates were found to be between two and eight times that threshold. The Boeing 737 departed the end of Runway 10 and came to rest in shallow water in the St. Johns River.
