We are proud to support one of Bangladesh’s most iconic infrastructures with clean energy.

Omera Solar’s 2.49 MWp solar power plant at Padma Bridge Service Area-2 is already delivering remarkable results.

Following commissioning under the net metering system, the facility’s electricity bill dropped from Tk 521,064 in May 2026 to just Tk 75,714, while surplus solar energy is being exported to the national grid.

In addition, solar installations at Service Area-1 (2.39 MWp) and Service Area-3 (1.15 MWp) are also reducing energy costs and increasing renewable energy generation. Together, the three systems contribute a total installed capacity of 6.03 MW.

More than just cost savings, this project demonstrates how national infrastructure can lead Bangladesh’s transition toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

We are pleased to announce that Omera Solar has signed an MoU with Netherlands-based Good Fashion Fund 2.0, a successor to its first fund, to facilitate decarbonization initiatives for Bangladesh’s Apparel & Textile factories through accessible and low-cost green financing solutions.

This collaboration aims to help factories to accelerate the adoption of solar energy & BESS and other decarbonization technologies by improving access to affordable climate-focused investment support.

Global brands are increasingly prioritize low-carbon and ESG-compliant supply chains, such initiatives will help Bangladeshi industries strengthen competitiveness while reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.
