Thailand launched its first AI-powered police robot during the Songkran festival in Nakhon Pathom to boost public safety.

The Royal Thai Police introduced the robot, called "AI Police Cyborg 1.0," on April 16 via Facebook. Stationed at Tonson Road in the Muang district, it’s nicknamed "Nakhon Pathom is safe."

The robot is equipped with AI that analyzes data from drones and CCTV in real-time. Its 360-degree smart cameras connect directly to the province’s Command Center for fast response.

The robot uses facial recognition to spot wanted or high-risk individuals and can detect fights, weapons like knives or sticks, and other threats.

Police say this smart robot marks a major step in using AI to improve public safety in Thailand.
