Do you really need to wrap every product individually?

Not when you can protect multiple products in one box with PulProtect.

Every bottle takes months to make, sometimes years.

Breaking one takes about half a second.

Whether it's this year's release or a rare cask bottling, the harvest, the cellar work, the bottling and a label you stand behind can all be lost in that half second, somewhere between the warehouse and the customer's door.

For anyone selling w**e and spirits online, a broken bottle costs well beyond its price: the replacement, the second shipment, and a share of the customer's trust, which is always the hardest part to rebuild.

UniGlass by Trakya Pack is a molded fiber insert made to bring bottles through that journey intact.

PPWR is the biggest change to packaging regulation in decades. Less material, better recyclability, less waste.

Read the minimization article carefully, though. It does not ask for the smallest pack. It asks for the minimum needed to keep the product safe. Protection is not the exception to the rule, it is part of the rule.

That matters because a bottle broken in transit is waste too. So is the return, the replacement and the second delivery. None of it shows on the packaging invoice, so none of it gets counted when a spec is trimmed.

The standard w**e box with corrugated dividers is built for pallet delivery between businesses, not for a parcel network. Ship it via courier and you find that out at the customer's door.

So the balance is this: enough pack to arrive intact, nothing beyond that, and made of something that can be recycled. That is only hard if the material forces you to choose.

Molded fiber is formed to the product, so the pack is no larger than the protection needs. Single recyclable material, no plastic. Our UniGlass inserts passed a 150 cm ISTA lab drop, meeting ISTA 3A requirements, with full certification in progress, in a pack smaller than the foam and corrugated systems it replaces. How do you protect olive oil tins, glass bottles, jars, and wooden gift products in the same shipping process?

GREGOR LISJAK extra virgin olive oil ships this mixed range to customers across Europe. Larger tins were arriving dented, while packing different orders meant keeping and combining several protective materials, including bubble wrap and honeycomb.

PulProtect offered a simpler approach: one three-dimensional paper sheet that could be shaped around the products, used to fill gaps, and added around the packed order to protect it from contact with the outer box.

A customer told us PulProtect looked too ridgid and bulky for small glass jars. They were considering honeycomb paper to prevent glass to glass contact. So we filmed the working method and ran the test.

Cut or tear the sheet to size. No measuring, no tape, no tools. Wrap the product, secure with a rubber band and you are ready. One layer.

Then we did the same with honeycomb paper. It took 3.5 times more material in square meters. The finished pack came out a similar size. But it failed the drop test.

The lesson we keep relearning on the line: more material is not more protection. What matters is how the material behaves on impact and whether it stays where you put it.

A part the size of a thumbnail. A surface that cannot take a single scratch.

Euroexport GB machines a stainless-steel component, 24 x 12 x 19 mm, that stays visible in the finished product. One mark on the exposed face and the part is out.

Individual wrapping would have protected it, but every part would then have to be unwrapped by hand at the customer's line in Germany.

So the parts went into a standard PulProtect Pro sheet instead. Each one stands upright in its own pocket. Separated in transit, no metal-to-metal contact, and the same sheet doubles as a handling tray when it arrives.

Ask any w**ery that ships direct what their breakage rate is. Most can't tell you exactly. They just know it's higher than they'd like, and they've stopped expecting better.

It doesn't have to be the cost of doing business.

In this video our distribution partner packs six bottles, closes the box, and throws it overhead three times. Live, one continuous take. All six come out intact. The UniGlass tray holds each bottle in place and absorbs the impact through the fiber structure.

Tested to a 150 cm ISTA drop, almost double the 76 cm standard. In this video we threw it higher than that.
