🎉✨ We have officially kicked off!
On 15 January 2026, we held our first official online Kick-off meeting as part of the Erasmus+ project

💻🔐 “Reducing Cyber Threats: Enhancing Cyber Awareness and Digital Competencies among Seniors.”

The meeting brought together dedicated partners from two countries:
🇵🇱 Fundacja Fundusz Inicjatyw (Poland)
🇧🇬 Cerca Trova Ltd (Bulgaria)

Right from the start, the energy and enthusiasm promised a strong and inspiring collaboration! 🤝🌍

During the meeting, we covered all the essential elements needed to successfully launch the project:

👋 Welcome & meeting objectives
We opened the meeting by presenting our shared vision – supporting seniors in safe and confident use of digital technologies and the online world.

🧭 Appointment of the Steering Committee and Coordinators
Roles and responsibilities were assigned, establishing a clear management structure for the project.

💬 Selection of communication tools
We agreed on the platforms and channels that will help us communicate effectively and share project progress smoothly.

🤝 Short partner presentations / exchange of good practices
Each organisation introduced its background, expertise, current activities and target groups.

We also began exchanging first examples of good practices – ideas on how to engage seniors and support their learning in accessible and motivating ways.

📑 Presentation of draft project plans:
✔️ Project Management Plan, including risk analysis
✔️ Project Work Plan, outlining activities and milestones
✔️ Monitoring & Quality Plan, ensuring transparency and high standards
✔️ Dissemination Plan, showing how we will share results with wider communities

🗂️ Discussion of tasks, scope & timelines
We clarified who does what and set initial deadlines for upcoming activities under the project’s first work packages.

📝 Summary & closing remarks
The meeting concluded in a constructive and enthusiastic atmosphere, with both partners ready to move forward with the next steps! 💪✨

This is only the beginning — now the real work starts!
In the coming months, we will be developing learning materials, testing them with seniors, and sharing our findings with communities and organisations across Europe.
Stay tuned for upcoming updates – exciting things are on the way! 📣🌐

🎉 We’re launching a new Erasmus+ project! 🎉

We are delighted to announce the start of our international initiative: “Mitigating Cyber Threats: Enhancing Cybersecurity Awareness and Competences Among Senior Citizens” 🔐💻
The project is coordinated by Cerca Trova Ltd (Bulgaria) in partnership with the Fundacja “Fundusz Inicjatyw” (Poland) 🤝🇧🇬🇵🇱

Why does this project matter?

More and more seniors are using the Internet to stay in touch with family, manage finances, shop online, and access public services. At the same time, they are increasingly exposed to cyber threats such as scams, phishing, data theft, and misinformation. Without proper knowledge and support, this can lead to stress, financial loss, and digital exclusion.

Our project was created to strengthen the digital safety of older adults, help them feel more confident online, and provide them with practical skills to protect themselves from cyber risks. At the same time, we support adult educators by equipping them with effective tools and methods for teaching cybersecurity to senior learners.

What are we doing?

We are developing innovative, senior-friendly educational materials, including online courses and traditional training resources. We are organizing international workshops and local training sessions in Poland and Bulgaria, where seniors will learn how to use the Internet safely, recognize online threats, and protect their personal data.

We are also strengthening the competences of partner organizations ’ staff so that cybersecurity education for seniors becomes a permanent part of their educational offer. This ensures that the impact of the project will last well beyond its official end.
Who are we supporting?

The project is designed for:
👵👴 seniors aged 60+,
👩🏫 adult educators and trainers,
🏢 organizations involved in lifelong learning.

Our goal is to build a digitally confident, aware, and safe senior community across Europe 🌍 This is just the beginning of an 18-month journey full of workshops, cooperation, and inspiring activities. Stay with us and follow our progress! 💙
