A trapiche emerald is one of the rarest forms of emerald, recognised by its natural six-spoke pattern radiating from the centre like a wheel, hence its name from the Spanish trapiche, a sugar mill.

Formed naturally as the crystal grows, impurities create these distinct sections, making each stone completely unique.

Found mainly in Colombia, trapiche emeralds are exceptionally rare and highly sought after.

يُعد الزمرد التراپيشي من أندر أنواع الزمرد، ويُعرَف بنمطه الطبيعي المؤلف من ستة أذرع تمتد من المركز كعجلة، ومن هنا جاءت تسميته من الكلمة الإسبانية trapiche، وهي آلة تقليدية لطحن قصب السكر.

يتكوّن هذا النمط بشكل طبيعي أثناء نمو البلورة، حيث تُشكّل الشوائب هذه الأقسام المميّزة، مما يجعل كل حجر فريداً تماماً.

يوجد بشكل رئيسي في كولومبيا، ويُعد الزمرد التراپيشي نادراً للغاية ومرغوباً بشدة.
