FCP & FHC PARTICIPATES IN CAREER DAY AT OUR DOCK SCHOOL

Our Dock School, Bartlett Hill Primary School, recently hosted a Career Day, exposing students to a range of professions at Freeport Container Port and Freeport Harbour Company. Team members shared insights on operations, safety, engineering, and maritime careers, inspiring students to explore opportunities and see port as a pathway to success.

FCP & FHC CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY

Event Date: 19 November 2025

FCP and FHC marked International Men’s Day under the theme “Healthy Men, Strong Port,” hosting a wellness seminar focused on health, finance, and fitness. Team members also enjoyed friendly competitions, promoting camaraderie and reinforcing the importance of supporting men’s well-being across our port community.

TWO STS CRANES ARRIVE AT FCP

FCP proudly welcomes two of four ship-to-shore cranes, marking a major step in the terminal’s modernisation program. These advanced units will enhance productivity, strengthen operational efficiency, and support future growth as we continue investing in world-class equipment to meet increasing customer and industry demands.

Congratulations to the University of The Bahamas on achieving full accreditation!

This is a tremendous milestone for the institution and for our nation. Accreditation opens a great opportunity for growing our country globally, strengthening our presence in international education and enhancing UB’s reputation around the world.

Attracting international students will also strengthen the university financially and expand its cultural exchange. It creates new academic partnerships, research opportunities, and global networks for both faculty and students.

FCP RECOGNISES GO GREEN MONTH WITH TREEPLANTING

This initiative reflects FCP’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, contributing to a cleaner, greener port environment and reinforcing the company’s dedication to environmental stewardship.

FCP & FHC ADVANCE SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH MANGROVE RESTORATION

Event Date: 29 August 2025

FCP & FHC proudly supported Hutchison Ports' sustainability goals by harvesting mangroves in Bootle Bay, West Grand Bahama. Sixteen team members volunteered, collecting 3,170 propagules, surpassing the target of 3,000. Since 2022, over 13,000 propagules have been harvested, reinforcing our shared commitment to reducing emissions through carbon sequestration and environmental stewardship.

On 14 September, FCP welcomed another tranche of 10 Kalmar Hybrid Straddle Carriers, strengthening our commitment to efficiency and sustainability. FCP WELCOMES NEW EQUIPMENT TO THE TERMINAL

Hutchison Ports FCP recently welcomed two shuttle carriers and 12 straddle carriers, significantly enhancing its container handling capacity. This critical equipment upgrade supports faster turnaround times, improved operational efficiency, and marks a strategic step in modernizing the terminal’s logistics capabilities.

MSC CAMILLE MAKES MAIDEN CALL AT FCP

On April 8, 2025, FHC’s pilot Luna Maxis expertly guided MSC Camille, a 14,000-TEU mega vessel, into Freeport Container Port. Measuring 365.52 meters, the Panama-flagged ship arrived from New York, 3,052 TEUs were loaded at FCP. This call demonstrated FCP’s capacity to handle the world’s largest container ships.
