Back from Easter vacation😊 and jumped into a CPU swap 🙂. Previous over heated the motherboard which disconnected the CPU. All that needed to be solved was a shorted capacitor (vdd main short)🔋

We had to transfer the CPU and storage to a new motherboard which costs 3x more for the customer… but data is safu.

Our customer brought us a hard drive that had been opened by someone 😱👀

Upon initial inspection we could see that the heads were missing from the head stack assembly.

The only place they could possibly be is on the platters…

After removing the platters, and finding the missing heads, removing them and decontaminating the platters…

We were able to recover our customer data ✅
