What's that black box on the roof?

It's called a junction box, and it's one of the key components that ties a solar array together.

As the solar panels generate electricity, the wiring from each string is routed into this weatherproof enclosure. Inside, the electrical connections are protected from the elements.

While the solar panels get most of the attention, it's components like the junction box that keep the system safe, organized, and built to last. Every connection matters.

Installing solar isn't just about putting panels on a roof, it's a process built around precision.

Every installation starts with layout. We snap chalk lines, map out every attachment point, and ensure the racking is perfectly positioned before a single rail goes up.

From there, we install the roof attachments and flashing, secure the L-feet, and mount the rails that will support the entire solar array. Only after that do we move on to the electrical work and installing the panels themselves.
The finished system gets all the attention, but it's the careful planning and quality workmanship underneath that make it last for decades.

Not every roof needs penetrations.

On many metal roofs, especially standing seam roofs, we use specialized clamps that attach directly to the raised seams of the roof. That means no drilling through the roofing material while still creating a strong, secure foundation for the solar racking.
