📢 Helping Get the Word Out – Bissett Community Notice

1911 Gold is helping share an important notice regarding a planned Manitoba Hydro power outage affecting the community of Bissett.

⚡ Sunday, October 25, 2026
🕘 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The outage is scheduled to allow Manitoba Hydro to complete maintenance work.

💧 Boil Water Advisory: Following the power outage, the community will be under a boil water advisory until two consecutive water samples have returned satisfactory results.

Based on the anticipated testing schedule, it is hoped that the advisory may be lifted by the end of next week (October 30), provided both water samples meet the required standards.

Community Notice – Planned Surface Drilling Near Bissett

1911 Gold would like to inform the Bissett community that an additional surface drill rig is planned within the existing Mine Lease area, with a start date of October 26, 2026, subject to confirmation.

Drilling is expected to continue until the December holidays, pause for the holiday break, and resume in the new year. The program’s duration will depend on drilling results. Additional drill hole locations may be added within the Mine Lease area.

We recognize the importance of minimizing impacts on our neighbours and the surrounding community. Our team will make every reasonable effort to minimize noise, disruption, and inconvenience throughout the drilling program.

Community Notice – Updated Oversized Load Delivery Schedule

1911 Gold would like to advise residents of Bissett and surrounding communities that the delivery schedule for crusher building materials to our True North Mine site has been updated to begin October 19, 2026.

Approximately two oversized loads per day are expected over a 15-day period, travelling along Provincial Road 304 and through Bissett.

During this time, residents and motorists may experience slower traffic. We ask everyone to please use caution and allow extra space for oversized loads.

The schedule remains tentative and subject to change. We will continue to keep the community informed of any updates.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to minimize disruptions.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

Today at 1911 Gold’s True North Mine, we are taking time to reflect, learn and create space for meaningful conversations about Truth and Reconciliation.

As part of the day, we created a virtual National Truth and Reconciliation Reflection Wall, giving everyone across our team an opportunity to share their thoughts on the question:

“What does Truth and Reconciliation mean to me?”
We are encouraging our team to share a few words about learning, listening or taking action. Reflections will be shared throughout the day and over dinner, helping to start conversations, hear different perspectives, and identify opportunities for continued learning and discussion.

Later today, our team will also come together for a special Indigenous-inspired dinner, thoughtfully prepared by our camp services partner, Dexterra. The menu features traditional bannock, wild rice, Manitoba-raised bison, Saskatoon berries, and pickerel/walleye sourced through Manitoba’s Indigenous commercial fishing network.

We extend our thanks to the Dexterra team for the thought and care they have put into today’s meal and to everyone taking the time to participate, reflect and learn.

At 1911 Gold, we recognize that Truth and Reconciliation is not about one day. Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, start conversations and consider how we can continue moving those conversations forward. 🧡

🚛 Community Notice – Increased Truck Traffic

As part of ongoing work at the True North Mine, residents may notice an increase in large truck traffic over the next several months. This may include equipment haulers, flatbed trailers, dump trucks, and other heavy vehicles travelling to and from the mine.

While these vehicles are not oversized loads, we have reminded all contractors of the importance of obeying posted speed limits, driving safely, and respecting the community while travelling through town.
