A huge thanks to Jean and Brian Fuller for hosting this years Rudge Meet. And to Chris Ness for planning and leading a great route. A lovely turn out, great lunch and wonderful ride made for an excellent day, even if near the end of the 200+km day of riding became a pain in the butt due to that horrible Lycette replicate saddle!

First start, finally finished.
Was originally a customer bike from the early 2000s, he had to stop with the restoration at around 85%, it the sat in a damp garage for the past nearly two decades. Ingo bought it back recently, it came apart again completely as it was corroded, everything redone, painted, chromed etc. Nice to finally see it running.... These projects are sad, I remember lacing the wheels back in 2002 or so, then cutting them apart and starting over due to corrosion. Fully modified needle bearing motor brand new gearbox, needle bearing forks etc etc. Sadly just sat for so many years, close to being done. Finally it's alive again! Just hoping whomever buys it will put some miles on it and enjoy it! Next project.

First run, from the slow motion you see that there is too much play, quick adjustment and back in business. This was running the day before we left for the event. One rocker needs to be replaced, the geomtry of the orginal drawings don't match what we have, new rocker will have slight variation in input angle and tilt.

To answer some messages, yes we ended up at Mosport for the Vintage Festival. I will post some photos shortly, As for the next question, yes I did manage to finish making Kevin's Rockers, for the '35 Ulster literally the day before the event, time has not been on my side this year. Here are some pics of the progress for the sleepless days leading up to the race for those interested. Will add some video of them running as well.

Just a note, these are different than the Swiss '34 Ulster from 2004 that Ingo machined manually. I had to play with the overall geometry as the Rudge geometry makes the outer exhaust valve open at a different time and height than the inner. The spline curve takes care of this problem. Finally the teeter totters is gone, replaced with a needle bearing roller. Axial needle bearings guide the sides of each rocker, and caged needle bearings take care of radial instead of the loose needle fun. Porsche style adjuster on input rocker makes this super easy to adjust.
