Neurodiverse Brick Builders is a LEGO-based STEM program for children with Autism and ADHD who love to build, think, and problem-solve, and who benefit from structured support in communication, collaboration, and self-regulation.

Through hands-on engineering, mechanics, and early coding challenges, children design, build, test, and refine their creations in a predictable, supportive environment. Sessions balance independent thinking with guided collaboration, helping participants practice turn-taking, flexible thinking, patience, and emotional regulation.

With clear routines, visual supports, and engaging challenges, Neurodiverse Brick Builders builds more than robots it builds confidence, connection, and real-world skills through purposeful play.

Who This Program Is For?

This program is designed for children who can participate in a small-group, structured learning environment and are ready to engage in collaborative, hands-on activities. Children should demonstrate most of the following readiness skills:

🤖Follow 1–2 step directions with visual or verbal support
🤖Sit and particpate in an activity for at least 15 minutes
🤖Use basic fine motor skills to manipulate LEGO pieces
🤖Communicate basic needs or choices, using speech
🤖Show interest in building, problem-solving, or STEM activities
🤖Take turns, wait briefly, and share materials(with adult guidance)
🤖Tolerate frustration and accept help when needed
🤖Participate in a group setting, without significant distress
🤖Transition between activities  with support
🤖Demonstrate basic safety awareness, staying with the group and using materials appropriately

Children do not need prior robotics, LEGO, or coding experience. The program emphasizes structured routines, visual supports, and positive reinforcement to help each child succeed while building confidence, connection, and independence.
