Doe Lake updates.
It’s been a bit since I’ve shared and I have a few updates on completed projects that I’m excited to share.
This first post will be the laundry room. This move/build has been interesting as we are still unpacking the seacan. With all the rooms in the house, I’ve waited to see what I had before designing to ensure we optimized our storage (cause it’s all about the storage).
The laundry was no exception. I searched through my Pinterest boards and found a design that I loved that incorporated a tiny “mudroom” area and laundry, as the room is located just off the garage entry.
Tim humoured me one night and we measured and I applied painters tape so I could get a better visual.
Installed shiplap on the main wall as a feature, installed IKEA kitchen cabinets using uppers for the narrow depth, and lots of painting.
Waiting on our quartz countertop to be cut so we can install that and the little bar sink and tap under the window. So we’ve installed a temporary wood countertop for folding etc.
We tried to optimize all corners, including around the corner of the washer dryer for vacuum storage and shelving.
Still have to stain the wood bench, and upper shelves. One rainy day 🤔
We loved how it turned out. For the first few days, we would just peek in to view our handy work. 😃
