This project came with challenges. The original framing on the addition was poorly executed, which would have compromised the final result. Instead of cutting corners, we stepped in and reframed the roof structure to ensure proper alignment and long-term performance for the standing seam system.
We also went further on protection—all eaves and wood fascia were fully wrapped with high-temperature roofing membrane to handle heat transfer from the metal roof and prevent long-term moisture issues.
That’s the difference—doing it right, not just doing it fast.
Big thank you to Pat (General Manager) for keeping everything organized and on track, and to Jean-Samuel (Roofing & Framing Foreman) for executing a perfectly straight, watertight roof—even through 15 cm of snow. Calgary weather doesn’t wait, and neither do we.
