19 years... hard to beleive

I started construction in the year 2001. I finished music college and ended up living in Victoria, B.C. right at the time of the leaky condo boom. After a summer of working in a restaurant, then mowing lawns for a landscaping company I decided, at 20 years of age I would be a carpenter. I walked onto a leaky condo job and told them how I’d done renovations with my Dad as a kid, and I was in! From that day forward, I was hooked, going job to job as a carpenter apprentice, gaining experience. We all got laid off the day that leaky condo was finished, and I experienced my first layoff and adaptation to the industry. I went on to work as a framer/concrete worker on houses all over Vancouver Island and subcontracting to homeowners and contractors. Eventually I decided to head out to Alberta, where I worked in the oil patch doing heavy concrete for 5 years. Moving back to the island in 2016 I refocused my career and have worked on hydroelectric dams and civil engineering projects for the last 4 years. Although I love being on the road doing giant civil projects, this year I decided it’s time to make Campbell River my real home and commit to running my own carpentry business. I’m skilled and interested in many aspects of my trade and feel F2F has alot to offer a wide range of clientele.
