Taking a break from Metalworks updates, we wanted to highlight the landscaping we were able to complete this past fall at a new high-school build in Ottawa. Over the past year, Zack VanEsch Enterprises has been working tirelessly on completing all the landscaping for this new high-school. This included bulk and fine grading, sod-prep, tree and shrub planting, bike rack and bench installation, the running track and sports field, and staircase construction. These photos showcase some of the transformations and final products of this outdoor space.

We have some exciting progress to share for the Downtown Guelph Metalworks project! With all skids and material lifted onto the roof, the tower crane taken down, and stone being laid, the third floor rooftop patio has begun to take shape. The use of three different stone types, all from Techo-Bloc, has created a unique delineation of space that will soon turn into a stunning outdoor rooftop patio.

Can’t wait for more of the space to come together with finishing touches! Stay tuned for more updates and progress!

Check out some of the before and after photos of the amazing terraces at Metalworks in Downtown Guelph. With a BLU Grande Smooth patio stone by Techo-Bloc, and an incredible view over the city, these terraces are going to be an amazing outdoor space.

Over the past two months, Zack VanEsch Enterprises has been working hard at Anthem, the fourth phase of the Downtown Guelph Metalworks project. Check out some of the amazing progress the ZVE team has been able to accomplish across the third floor rooftop patio. These before and after photos showcase some of the planters within the patio, constructed of primarily Pisa wallstone from Unilock, as well as Gabion wall sections and Grande wall from Permacon. We are very excited to continue to showcase more of the work we have been doing at Metalworks in Downtown Guelph.

Throwback to this project we completed at Stonehenge Therapeutic Community back in 2021. These before and after photos highlight the transformation of the space with the intention of improving its functionality, while livening up the entrance points.

Just finished this concrete retaining wall! Although a simple project, it was a much-needed repair, as the existing foundation edge was crumbling and washing away. By digging out the organic material along the house and removing the loose rubble, we were able to pour a new wall that ties together the house foundation and secures the base of this addition.

We just wrapped up another project! Check out this amazing transformation of the front entrance of this house. These before, during, and after photos showcase the stunning difference an upgrade to your front entrance can make. Using Maya precast steps from Techo-Bloc, armor stone, and a mix of river rock mulch and plantings, we created a natural feel to the space entering the home. By expanding the size of the front landing, we also greatly improved the functionality of the entrance.

Throwback to this amazing project and opportunity we had with Stonehenge Therapeutic Community back in 2021. Using shredded pine mulch, river rock, and large patio slabs we were able to completely transform this into an inviting front entrance space. Special thanks to our many amazing suppliers as well!

Check out another driveway repair job in Elora! We recently completed this project where we were able to lift and relay to fix some major grading issues. By tying the existing into the new sidewalk and repairing some sunken areas, we were able to restore functionality to this driveway.
