As soon as the customer told me his wife "likes" to MacGyver things. I knew it was going to be a fun job. I was introduced to Alien tape. And this leak was caused by the water heater being cold.
Why was the water heater cold? Because someone put a new 💡 in the kitchen.

And only half of the electrical panel was labeled.

Make sure you clean your outdoor coil. Just like in previous posts. A dirty coil will reduce the air flow resulting in an inefficient system. Your indoor coil will be warmer because the outdoor coil couldn't shed all of the heat it needed to. It changes the pressures in the system making it work harder, therefor costing more to operate. A yearly maintenance schedule is important if you want to prolong the life of your equipment. , , ,

If you don't like the look or sound of your Air Conditioner. I suggest upgrading your outdoor unit but never let a landscaper build a fence around it. This will rob the efficiency and shorten the life of your equipment. When it comes to Air Conditioning air flow is everything. If you restrict the air flow at your outdoor unit, it won't be able to shed the heat causing the refrigerant pressures to change and your comfort will go down. If the airflow in your air handler/ furnace is restricted your indoor coil will freeze up and your comfort will go down. The ice melting into your furnace will shorten the life of the heat exchanger as well.

As we are starting to using Air Conditioning. I want to encourage everyone that uses Air Conditioning to check and change your filters every month. The manufactures of filters might suggest every three months but if you have more than two people and pets living in the space you are risking a break down. At the very least you're making your equipment run inefficiently, costing you more. I am aware the price of filters has gone up but the cost of a new system is higher. You don't need to buy the most stringent filter either.
