Set up and ready to go at the AMTC 24 (Air Medical Transport Conference 2024) in Salt Lake City. We are so proud to be able to support our first responders in any way.

The Nova Scotia LifeFlight team will be competing in a mock casualty event against other air medical teams at this conference. They came third last year, and we know they are ready for whatever they might face!

It all started in 1985 with a simple observation.

Glenn Parlee was a recreation professional running outdoor excursions in rural Nova Scotia when he noticed it was difficult to find adventure equipment suited to the Atlantic Canada environment. Enlisting the help of his wife Kathi, a gifted seamstress, Glenn set out to create outdoor recreational products suited for water and forest-based excursions.

The result? Parlee Manufacturing Company Ltd. - a family-owned business operating out of Liverpool, Nova Scotia - was born.

“Customers here wanted a product for their specific needs – not to be pigeonholed into somebody else’s. That’s what inspired us to create the company – to provide quality, Canadian-made products that were suited to our environments.”
