Next up on the 60 corvette project was a console to house the electronic tap shifter and clean up the Interior, it was formed from aluminum with a hammer form and then a custom riser was 3d printed so we were able to use the factory shifter bezel, swipe right ——->.

Added a clean little access door with a soft close hinge to one of the bed wood boards to access the battery, for charging and tightening of battery terminals, the battery is removed from the underside but it’s always nice to access it without laying on the ground!

Working on fitting the wood bed on the Chevy truck project, got all the red-oak boards milled up from to my custom widths for a more even board width all the way across, instead of two narrow boards like the original style.

The 1956 Chevy is back from the paint shop, we are getting ready to set up the wood lift up bed floor along with general assembly and fitment, then some other details like a new air Intake tube and proper sealed connectors on all the lighting wiring.

Addressing the back wall of the cab was next, it was all pushed in under the rear window from a previous hit from behind, along with some less than stellar cab corner repair, we decided to just replace both cab corners after the back wall was all straight. We also decided on a new set of doors . It’s starting to line out nice now!

for the win!! These things are absolutely beautiful, and I think will fit the build just perfectly!

Next on the 60 vette, I could not bring myself to using the plastic ac vent housing supplied by vintage air that just clamps to column with a hose clamp. Instead decided to fabricate a new piece that fits the shape of the dash much nicer and tucks them up about 1” higher to improve the visual. It worked out well because shortening the tach housing previously 1.5” made the bottom steering column cover not usable, so the new vent housing completes the lower column cover for a much cleaner look.

Next up on the 1960 corvette was figuring out the brake system, I really didn’t like any of the “kits” available for these cars that run the factory swing pedal and a hydroboost or standard booster. Couple that with leg room being almost non existing in these cars, I decided to do a floor mount pedal, with a custom 90 degree bracket and an I-Booster, I managed to gain around 4” of leg room which should should help greatly in driver comfort. Swipe right——>

Trying something a little different on the corvette engine coil covers. The plastic factory covers don’t quite make the cut in my opinion, so I fabricated these in an effort to build something that had not been done and overdone before. The square bead rolled section on the top will receive and corvette emblem of sorts (to be determined)
