Lest We Forget – Honoring Two Generations of Service

On this Remembrance Day, Mentor Aero reflects on the sacrifices made by countless Canadians in defense of our freedoms. Our history is deeply intertwined with two generations of military service, including four years of enduring unimaginable hardship in a N**i camp.

As we honor those who served, we recognize that our duty goes beyond remembrance. It’s about learning from the past to ensure that the horrors of war and oppression are never repeated. We owe it to those who fought for us to remain vigilant in preserving peace and understanding.

At Mentor Aero, we carry this legacy forward, committed to remembering the sacrifices that have shaped our world and ensuring future generations learn the lessons of history.

This week Greg was busy supporting a client in a remote location. These missions are always interesting as he gets to witness an operation as an in-betweener, not entirely on the outside, and not quite in either.

He always gets back full of ideas and grateful to get to do these exciting projects. Mentor Aero, living to meet new 😎😎

Teamwork is the key to organizing and getting the most out of a post-maintenance flight test. It's a collaborative effort involving the expertise of maintenance technicians and flight crews.💪 ✈️

A Check flight aims to test the aircraft's systems, cabin, and In-Flight Entertainment in real conditions, observing their behavior and recording parameters. The aircraft is technically acceptable if these parameters are in their nominal range.

Conducting post-maintenance flight checks safely requires pilots experienced in the aircraft, intensive preparation, and cross-communication with the maintenance personnel.
Since maintenance technicians are usually taken on the flight, the flight crew can trust the AME to brief them and explain everything done to the aircraft and how it will be verified on the flight test, instilling confidence.🤝

- Proactive maintenance (that's "between preventive and reactive maintenance", we'll discuss this in another post)
- Troubleshooting (we have a course, but there are many ways to learn this. Start with our blog article: https://buff.ly/45xaHjQ)
- Communication (better not waste time because you, the crew, or management didn't share information properly)
