⚠️ Hot Light Switch? Don’t Ignore It!

While at a customer’s home today, they mentioned a light switch and surrounding wall felt warm—even though the AC was running and the room was shaded all day.

I’m not an electrician, but I offered to take a quick look. As soon as I removed the cover, we saw the problem: a buildup of hair, dust, and fluff likely collected when the cover had been left off previously—then hidden when a new one was installed before the house was sold to my customer.

After carefully vacuuming and brushing out the debris, the switch cooled down. I also went through the home and checked the other switches and outlets just to be safe.

🔥 If you ever notice heat coming from a light switch or outlet, mention it. Catching small issues early can prevent bigger problems later.
