When your builder isn’t locked into a fixed price, who carries the risk?

After their foundation came in at nearly $150,000, more than double what they had budgeted, they knew they needed to take a closer look. They began going through receipts and invoices, trying to make sense of where their money was going. What they found only raised more questions.
