Big ol’ deck

550 sq ft with 8x8 rough sawn treated posts. The biggest structure I’ve tackled since going out on my own aaaaaand it wiped me out.

Huge thanks to my dad for showing up when I needed it most. This one was mistimed therefore misquoted, but not poorly built! Craftsmanship held strong and I’m proud of the final product. Lessons learned

Trimming out exteriors is more of an art than I used to give it credit for and one I have ample room to improve. It's the final details that really shape the whole project.

That inner voice as you near the finish line:
“You will not cut corners. You will not rush ahead.”
“Yes, you need to seal that"
“This is not the time to eyeball it."
“Sop thinking about what's for dinner”

Finishing strong takes patience and a bit of self-talk.

Built this space for my amazing neighbour with connection in mind. A place to gather, share meals, and enjoy life. We’ll be marking its completion with a meal together. what it’s all about.

📐 The geometry in carpentry is one of my favourite parts of the trade.

I hope to take on projects and education that push those skills further. The French side of me looks up to the Compagnons and the tradition of stereotomy. Craft meets discipline.

Maple Cabinetry & Floating Shelf Feature w/ oak trim and acoustic panelling

This piece lays the foundation for my customer as she aims to introduce a more organic, earthy vibe to her house.

This shop project test me in all the correct ways—with accuracy, planning, and maintaining profitability. I hope to take on more feature pieces like this and shop work. it is the most satisfying to me.

I had the pleasure to build picnic tables for my favourite spot in Onoway!

Built with no visible fasteners, 3 coats of a marine sealant, and some lil nifty details will hopefully keep these tables enjoyable and durable for years to come!

I love shop projects like these!
