Slava Ukraini!
Glory to Ukraine!
My family came to Canada over a hundred years ago from the Ukraine. Strong people then and now.

Moooove over.
This morning I took the truck to Princeton BC to buy a used trailer. It took me through the Similkameen Valley past Keremeos, Hedley, then Princeton. Rounding the corner if anything I would have expected deer. Nope. Small group of cows that must have gotten through the fence and their owners were bringing them back home. Least I could do was hold traffic back until they got the escapees through the gate. Picked up my trailer and headed home. Travelling up Anarchist Mountain almost home and come across mom and calf drinking rainwater streaming down the newly paved road. I called my neighbour to get them to quickly post on our Anarchist Mountain Community Facebook group that we have a couple of loose cows. Quite a day in BC.

One of the most important reasons for moving here to Osoyoos was the views. Having lived in cities for 30 years I really appreciate living here. Getting up early is easy when you have views like this. Always changing.

Why Osoyoos?
That's a question I get from customers and I like to tell them a short story why.
My father (pictured working in his shop) travelled all over North America on vacations over the years. For as long as I could remember for 30-40 years the one place he loved the most and regretted not buying a home in was Osoyoos, BC. He stayed in a little town in Northern Ontario working in the pulp mill ending up being in charge of the heating and air conditioning crew made up of pipe fitters, sheet metal, and some millwrights. He worked as Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heating mechanic for almost 60 years till just before he turned 90.
Dad was my inspiration to check out this place he spoke so much about. I flew here in August 2017 with my daughter to look at homes on the mountain and she said, "this is where you have to live".
My dad would have loved it here.

Happy Canada Day everyone. Some simple things to do before you call for service to your air conditioning system.
Breaker tripped?
Filter clean?
Outside unit clean or plugged with dirt?
Furnace switch on?
A/C cover taken off?
Does the furnace fan blow air?
These are the most common things to check.
Enjoy the summer.
