What started as a blood transfusion and a wee peek around this Yammer Hammer gorgeous Ivory White scoot.....turned into an ooooh heeeeere we goooo! One plug held together by the lead boot! New super duper loud 138db horn installed (note to self dont test in the garage, ears still ringing a bit) multiport power supply, some tuning up and new goodies to put on yet! Stay tuned and remember keep it rubber down shiny side up! F.R.E.D.

Well Lads n Lasses! The Yammer Hammer Stratoliner got its kick off to a new look! 16" 1 1/4" hanger bars with the wiring pulled through internally (definately a lesson or two in patience) and a sort of custom frankenstiened backrest for the Mrs. Started with a factory sissy bar and pad, ended with a kingpack cushion with bracing made from the old bars! Mrs luvs it and Client is grippin n rippin in comfort!

Gorgeous Yammer Hammer beast of a machine! Some fresh blood in the heart, front calipers were seized up. Pulled cleaned and fresh brake fluid, stops on a dime! Purged the hydraulic clutch.
Saddle bag latches needed a bit of tlc, took em apart, fresh new springs and clickity click work perfect.
Keep it shiny side up folks!!

When you see a hood up, tools out on the side of the road do you stop? I do and not just because I provide mobile mechanic services but I dont like being broke down on the roadside either! So a gent with a nicely decked out jeep had the hood up and tools out...so I pulled over to see if he was OK or needed anything...
After a few checks and still no go finally find that the alternator decided to crap out and completely kill this jeep!
Quick trip to Lorco Qualicum with the Gent, grabbed a new alternator, returned to the scene and with his help set a record time for the swap!! Even in the rain! Load tested the battery and voltage checked the new unit to be sure! AND TADAA THE JEEP LIVES ANOTHER DAY

Whenever questioned about how much Harley saddlebags can hold.....
Here's what I had on board today
1/2" torque wrench, 1/2" breaker bar, tool pouch with full Wrenches 1/4-7-8" screwdrivers, vice grips, 3 different pliers,
Battery load tester, multimeter, alternator out of a 98 mitsubishi, milwaukee tire inflator, milwaukee 1/2" cordless impact wrench with 2 batteries, chaps, then on way home from the service call picked up a brick of cheese and block of butter! Had to pull the chaps out to fit the 8 pack of refreshments for the garage but it all was in there!
Who says you cant enjoy mobile service! Sun was shining and cant beat time in the saddle!
