WFH renovation that didn't compromise on light. 🪟This Vancouver client needed a real, enclosed work-from-home office — Zoom calls, hardware, the full setup — but didn't want to lose the bay-window light that made the room feel good in the first place.Instead of drywalling a wall, we built a full-height custom black-frame glass partition + a pair of swing glass doors. Slim black frames, full ceiling, clear glass throughout. Closed doors = acoustic + visual privacy. Open doors = the bay-window light flows right through to the hallway.The adjacent storage nook got matching glass doors so the whole installation reads as one cohesive design move, not two separate panels.~1 week from measurement to install. After 200+ Vancouver renos, here's what we've learned:

✅ DIY: paint, LVP flooring, hardware swap, simple demo
❌ HIRE: electrical, plumbing, structural, anything requiring permits

The math is simple — saving $2K on paint is great. Saving $5K on a DIY plumbing job that floods 3 floors is not.

The all-white kitchen is supposedly out for 2026. So why does this one still work?

Richmond townhouse — white shaker cabinets, custom quartz countertops, lighting reworked to make a tight footprint
breathe. The shaker stays classic. The warm-tone flooring and quartz veining keep it current.

The hard part wasn't the design call. It was scheduling — coordinating cabinets, countertops, and electrical without
anyone tripping over each other in a townhouse-sized kitchen.

The existing layout was functional but dark and cramped. We went with a light color palette throughout — white cabinetry, light countertops — and the centerpiece: a waterfall island that makes the whole room feel intentional.
